When my husband first was diagnosed with diabetes about a year ago- the doc put him on STARLIX- he was doing really well with his levels- and the last few weeks, diet has not changed- his levels are not below 200- and this morning it hit 300. He cannot exercise due to being disabled from injuries at work- however he was not exercising a year ago either.

I always get boils in the areas where my skin is rubbing something - underarm, groin (worst here), and ankle. Sometimes it's so bad it hurts to walk. They seem to cycle - they crop up about once a month, last about two days, then start to grow and eventually drain. I've seen a doctor (multiple times), I've been given antibiotics but they don't do a darn thing, and I'm so stinking fed up! Is there anything to do?

Occasionally the veins in my hands and wrists appear larger than normal. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant, so I know how to take BP, but unfortunately I do not have a cuff at home. My pulse is normal, around 80-85 BPM. I get headaches upon awaking nearly every morning, but it has been like that for many years. I only get nosebleeds when I have a cold. I last had my BP measured a couple months ago, and it was 110/70 (which is normal for me; I tend to run on the low side.)

However, my father has hypertension, so I'm afraid that I may be starting to develop it. I recently got the Lupron Depot shot to control my endometriosis, and prior to that I was on OCPs. I am only 17 years old, I have never smoked, I am borderline overweight, I have never consumed alcohol, and I have moderate salt intake.

Could the "puffier" appearance of my veins be a sign of hypertension?

I do not have a suppressed immune system, my cold sore drys up, bleeds occasionally, heals then repeats it, starting within hours after healing. Ive never had a cold sore last this long, its going on 31/2 weeks now. How can I get rid of it, what can I topically apply to it to make it go away and keep it dormant. No, I am not heavily stressed. Please, somebody help me.

I have been urinating frequently and have vaginal burning. I went to a doctor on December 10 and my urine was tested but it was clean. There was blood in my urine and the doctor said it was due to me just having my period the week before. I was given medication for the frequent urination and for yeast infection (vaginal burning) but I still continued to urinate frequently and was still experiencing vaginal burning.

I went back the following week (December 17) and the doctor retested my urine and again it was clean. I was also re-examined for the yeast infection but I didn't have one again. The doctor also said that the burning and frequent urination also can be STDs (Chlamydia and Gonohrrhea), but I got tested in October and the tests were clean (negative). The doctor gave me another medication for the frequent urination, which I took.

I got my period today and I am usually sick a week or more before I get it. So I was urinating frequently from last week (even though I was taking the medication for frequent urination) and as of today I'm urinating more. I usually urinate often while I have my period but never before. The vaginal burning (most likely yeast infection) came back on Thursday and has increased.

Is this frequent urination and vagnal burning just associated with my period or can it be something else? Also I've been really thirsty often and feeling really hungry and eating often. Everyone is different but are these just normal things that go along with a period?

All the things I mentioned above are also linked to Diabetes. I had my blood suagr tested in October and it was 93. I did it again in November and it was 84. Is it possible for me to contract diabetes now in December since I'm experiencing all its symptoms? Also, is it possible for me to have an STD when I got tested in October and the results were negative, and I haven't been sexually active in a year? I really need to know what I should do because I'm concerned about my health.

Thanks to anyone who answers. I really appreciate it.

My Boyfriend(He is a 28 yr. old Black man) was home this morning and felt dizzy all of sudden and fainted. He wasn't exercising or anything besides getting dressed. He couldn't remember much after that but waking up on the floor. Right away he went straight to the hospital ER. He has been there all day today and they have done many tests and are keeping him overnight(or more?) but I didn't get much info since I was talking to him and he was very tired(he has no relatives here in the US) I live in another state while in college so the info. I get is limited & I can't get there soon. Does anyone know what illness(s) could cause sudden dizziness & fainting symptom? I am so worried, this has never happened to him in his life. Please Any advice I'd be grateful for......

Okay, so about a week ago i had a bad cough and then it developed into a cold. The whole congested nose and cough thing. Then about four days ago my ears got really clogged i guess? I'm not sure how to describe it but they feel full and i can't seem to hear as well. Everything seems muffled. It's really bothersome especially when I'm with a large group of people and im trying to hear them. Any idea what it is or what i can do?

I'm desperate it's pretty annoying and I'm not willing to go to the doctors just yet. Maybe i'll wait a few more days.

Oh and it's definitely not ear wax it feels like deep inside my ear

Every time my boyfriend and I kiss, he uses alot of tongue. And sometimes I end up with alot of his spit in my mouth, and I swallow it. He's not a virgin, but he swears he's been tested and that he doesn't have any diseases or anything. But I'm really, really scared. He's 15, and I'm 13. I'm seriously freaking out here.

My Father was always there for us as kids and he split with my Mom when I was 17. He owned his own construction company and all but ended up living on the streets after leaving us. When he decided he didn't want to live he tried to OD on Heroin and used someone elses needle and contracted HIV. When he told me, I didn't know how to feel or who to turn to. Are there any support groups or resources that can help me feel comfortable with this fact?

I guess for a few months i started noticing when i give him a certain food sometimes he'll get a red rash on the face and neck. A nurse looked at it and said it looked like hives. The doctor told me to experiment with foods to find out what it can be. Well i found out that honey mustard has given him this rash twice now, but i had never given this to him before. The first time i took him he had eaten corn and an english muffin. The second time i gave him this honey mustard i just gave him the honey mustard alone because i had suspicions about it...
What in the honey mustard is causing the skin reaction that would be found in other foods? He rarely eats honey ...or mustard.

I know I need to see a doctor - but I don't know if these things are all related or signs of different problems. I've had a few nosebleeds recently, too.
