I went to my doctor last tuesday, and my blood pressure was 140/90. Now, I must say that I am obese, but I have cut out all the junk food and fast food from my diet, drastically reduced my sodium intake, eating more fruit and veggies, and exercising more (I'm using the stationary bike and my mini step and I am powerwalking). I am also drinking more water and none of the sugary stuff like soda. My dr. gave me a month, to see if my pressure goes down. There are other factors though: I have been taking allergy medication, like Alavert and claritin, and I have been stressed lately, and my cholestrol level is 161 (down from 239) but my triglycerides is 178 (a bit high)

My question is: besides, the things I mentioned above, what else can I do to lower my blood pressure. FYI: I also have a juicer , so if you have any natural juice receipes I could use that would lower my b.p. that will be great.

My sister-in-law age 37, just found out the other day that she has melanoma stage 4. She has two boys age 10 and 15, no insurance of any kind and a husband of 11yrs that is soo torn up by the news of his wife. I want them to know I am there for them. They do not want to talk about the "what ifs", but reality is at any time something bad could happen. How can I help them with what they are going through? They live in Texas and I live in Alabama, so seeing them is a problem with distance. I am planning a trip to see them in July.

Well after a lot of tests all his bloods where very very low and pilates were at 60 instead of average 200 to 500 and he has nerve damage to his legs and feet due to alcohol.
He has been refered to hemotoligy and neuroligy.
The way he Dr was talking it is very serious and due to quickness of his appointments both in May this makes me more concerned. He hasnt had a drink since seeing the Dr Can any one give me any links or if anyone has had or knows of anyone with this problem and can it be cured.
I am very worrried as the hemotoligy appointment is in the cancer unit. I did ask the GP but she said unfortunatly she hasnt got a crystal ball. Before any smart Alec says excuse my spelling....PS I may also say the GP was very good

Do I have it? What is it? Last early February, I always had watery stools. Then it stopped when I ate bananas then it just happened and stopped and happened and stopped. Then it is happening now. Is that IBS? How do you cure IBS? Is it life threatening? Or if it isn't IBS, what are the other possibilities?
