my grandson is 5 weeks old and we have been informed of this hypothyroid condition and instucted to start him on synthroid 25 mg pill, crushed and mixed with alittle liguid. We are concerned with what may have caused this. We have a medical background, and never heard of this in a new born infant. they just informed us they saw this at birth but thought they needed to wait until his first check up to repeat it. Can 5 weeks of waiting also cause serious brain damage? this baby looks like the picture perfect baby, normal in every way, including weight gain.

My father is having this done and had a terrible time the last time he had surgery. Is it painful? Is it under general anesthesia? If it actual shocks you, can you still function during it? What if he is driving? Any info would be great, thanks in advance.

when i lay down to go to sleep, as i start to breathe deeply it feels like i am breathing in something, and its catching in the back of my throat, particularly on the "right side" of my throat. a bunch of people have said it may be allergies; mold, mildew, etc. but i flipped my mattress and sprayed it with mold and mildew treatment, cleaned my sheets and thoroughly vaccuumed my room, and i just recently got an air purifier in here, but the problem seems to remain. any help? anyone?

I just happened to check the right arm after the left arm and found it to be 10 to 15 points lower. This is consistent everytime I check. i am right handed, too. This seems odd.

Valtrex, Aciclyvir, Zovirax, Lysine Supplements... Nothing seems to work!! I've spent thousands on them over the years. I've seena website for something called quick clear on the internet http://www.quickclear.net/default.aspx?PageId=101 which claims to cure you completely in 3 months. Does anyone know if this actually works? I am willing to spend the money to do it, but it's pretty expensive if it doesn't work I'll be so disappointed.

I'll be heading down to Bridgewood in Ipswich this evening with my wife to go dogging. She's really up for it, and I just can't manage it anymore as I'm getting a bit old nowadays. I'll be heading down there around 9pm.

If anyone fancies coming down to give me a helping hand, or maybe take some pictures, please feel free.
I'll be in the big black BMW estate, but if you want us to meet at your car, just give me a ring on 01473 712672 to pass on your vehicle details.

Alternatively, if you fancy a bit of a social drink beforehand, and a chance to get to know the wife and myself (and maybe more), drop round to 12 Beatty Road, Ipswich around 8-pm.

See you all tonight you dirty little monkeys.

In the back of your mind do you think people with cancer have led an unhealthy lifestyle, or eaten the wrong things etc, or do you think its just bad luck or genetics?

I am well-educated in the disease of addiction as I am in a 12 step program for drug addiction and have been clean for 27 months. I live with my immediate family of 4 because I am disabled and receive no income and cannot relocate. Two of my relatives are prolific smokers. They have taken measures not to smoke in our presence, but their attempts to evacuate the smoke and to mask the odor does not prevent carcinogens from being in the air. I have many allergies and spend money on the treatment of them. My other family member who doesn't smoke has a heart condition and should not be around it. He always speaks up and gets backlash. I have sent them e-mails, phone messages, and speak up about it often only to hear that I am picking on them. I have been extremely patient and exceedingly diplomatic when I talk with them about it. I don't yell, and use my understanding of addiction and empathy. I am at my wits end. I need some ideas. Please help. Thank you very much.
