Its a lot more common than most people know and a thriving business in some poor countries, and some richer countries too.
I may sell a kidney, but times would have to be tough and I would want to know they remaining one was likely to see me through. You can't sell your liver, you only have one and if it were removed you would die....but I have heard of people selling a lobe from their liver (It has 2 lobes and the smaller one can be removed leaving the larger lobe intact!).

Obviously they would be desperate and really need it to be asking - if it would be ok for me medically (I know it wouldn't be cos of diabetes) then I'd probably do it - I don't think that I could live with myself knowing that I took away someones only chance to survive; it would depend on all the factors involved - the risks involved in the surgery and after, for me and for them - I'd only do it for money if I was really really desperate for it - you can't put a price on life - not saying I'd turn the cash down though!

Selling organs for cash is illegal. I won't "buy" any organ I would want it tested by the Dr's to be sure I could not get any other blood or any other deiase from it. Diabetes is bad enough. I just could not do it anyway

There is no developed country in which it is legal to sell and organ, for obvious reasons. The only way to give an organ is to donate it without recieving compensation.

Well it is common...if the person has two of that organ, you can 'donate' it and some ask for some 'thank you' money in return. I heard of one case in the Czech Republic where a mother was selling 2 of her children to mobsters to use for organs for drug money....it's illegal everywhere (that I know of), but it's still done

NO TO ORGANS FOR CASH.God gave life free of any charge
as such giving out organ should be on humanitarian ground and MUST NOT be for a fee.
Should anyone approach me, my answer is TO HELL WITH YOUR POUNDS I'LL RATHER REMAIN POOR THAN SELL MY ORGAN.

I wouldn't sell any of me...I might need it. Anyway, the Chinese have got that racket sewn up because of all the people they execute.
