Boric Acid used to be used many years ago in a solution for its antiseptic properties to treat ear infections and stye's, around the eye. It was disolved in hot water and a washcloth soaked in it to make a compress. Does anyone know how much to use as a stye treatment?

It is also used around home foundations to keep out and get rid of insects, too....

Last night my lower right abdomen (where my appendix is) began to hurt. I could not walk and it hurt. I went to bed thinking it would be gone in the morning. When I woke up it wasn't. I called the hospital and they took me to the emergency room. I got a blood, urine, and CAT scan. They found nothing. It still kind of hurts, but the pain was worse last night. They told me to go in for a follow up to check more things. WHAT CAN THIS BE??

A month ago, I moved with my family a long distance, to a new home. Ever since then, I haven't been feeling like myself. I've had loose stools, and acne-ish breakouts on my face and legs (I never had pimples on my legs like this before!). Nobody else seems to be affected in this way, and I can't get into a doctor for a month or so (I am going though). Any ideas? Is my body just getting used to the new water? The move was not very stressful for me either, and I'm really comfortable here... Other then feeling off.

my husband was 'accidently' given too much Dilaudid during his last hospital stay. When it was figured out, his oxygen level was at 30, and he was basically 'comatose'. He was put into ICU for 2 days. What type of long term problems should we anticipate?

I think i may be experincing symptoms of diabetes.

>yellow-dark yelow urine
>litte bit thirstier than i normally am
>i'm a bit overweight [i understand sugar/carbs rather than weight is the problem, but nevertheless]

I want to tell my parents, but I am afraid they will refuse to believe me due to the severity of the disease. Also, i am wondering: if i do not yet have a very severe case will i have to stay in a hospital for several days? [i've read some of the ADA Forums and many people say they were in the hospital for a week].

How should i tell my parents i think i have it, and how long will i be in the hospital?

I ask this question because I've seen a number of post from seemingly "unsavvy" people having sex W/O a condom, etc., etc.

This question also applies to homosexuals who seem to always get HIV/AIDS, Hep B/C infected despite all the glamourous ads about "safe sex".

It's a loaded one, but I don't give a crap!
