Last night my lower right abdomen (where my appendix is) began to hurt. I could not walk and it hurt. I went to bed thinking it would be gone in the morning. When I woke up it wasn't. I called the hospital and they took me to the emergency room. I got a blood, urine, and CAT scan. They found nothing. It still kind of hurts, but the pain was worse last night. They told me to go in for a follow up to check more things. WHAT CAN THIS BE??

~Much better you come to me with this question than a health care professional. What do they know?

You problem is obvious, based on the thorough examination I just did. You have an alien spawing inside you and it is about to eat its way out. Find Ellen Ripley or Sigourney Weaver immediately.

I assume you managed to walk to the computer to write this...and you managed to raise both arms to type on your keyboard...

So apparently you're feeling better. It could be as minor as gas or slightly compacted stool, or it could be as major as an infection or burst appendix. If it were the latter two, then you wouldn't be sitting there reading this answer right now...nor would you have posted this question in the first place..

The CT scan should have shown anything that would have caused the docs to be concerned, but if you want you can ask if they have the M2A Swallowable Imaging Capsule. It's 60% effective at detecting problems in your intestine, compared with 35% for other imaging techniques.

G'luck to ya. Eat your wheaties! =)

Less than a week ago the same thing happened to my husband. They told him he had an agravated spot in his colon and tested him for diverticulitis. He did not have it. However the nurse and doctor came to a conclusion. The irritated spot on his colon was inflammed and more irritated because of certain foods he ate. The doctor said that any food that looks the same coming out as it does going in can be very aggravating to your stomach. If you already have an irritated spot it is like rubbing sandpaper over a cut on your hand
