A guy at work wanted me to try his new cigar. After pushing and pushing I finally agreed to try it. I found out later that he is HIV+. I have heard debates that you can get aids from spit. Do you think it is true and that I can have HIV from taking a puff off of a cigar?

Every time i stay under the sun for a certain amount of time, around my mouth area, first it gets red and itchy, and it started to get swollen, after a day i start to get something that looks like blister around my lips, and sometimes it feels like "water" is coming out from that whole area, and i know for sure that isn't saliva and then it starts to dry up and chap, my skin starts to peel, then i know i am recovering. It happens everytime i stay under the sun for more than 10 to 15 minutes, and it only happens around my mouth. What is it, and is there anyone i can put on to stop it. I've tried sunscreen and chapstick with SPFs, but it doesn't work, and sometimes it gets worse. Please help!

My 19 year old Son went to the Doctor with a cough, and Chest Congestion. He was Diagnosed with Bronchitis and a little fluid in the Lungs (no X-rays were taken) he was prescribed Steroids, Antibiotics, and an Inhaler. 2 Days later he started Vomiting, had Diarreha, and Abdominal Cramps. our Family Doctor couldn't see him but said he should go to Hospital ER. We went there. after an X-ray and CAT Scan they said he had some kind of bladder infection they said it was retaining fluid and putting pressure on his Bowels. The gave him a Cathiter and kept him over night. at 2 A.M we get a call. he is having troble breathing and was transfered to CCU when we get there he asks the nurse why his heart is beating so fast. She said it was the medicine they gave him to wake him up. less than 2 Hours later he Died of an enlarged Heart. (I'm gonna run out of room. so i'll add more details. Please wait til you see it all toi answer)

She had a C-section while giving birth to my son. She didn't have it before. When we first noticed it she went to the Emergency Room of the same hospital and they said it was normal. Her grandpa also got staph infections every time that he went to that hospital. This hospital is famous for giving staph infections to patients and this one could kill my fiance and i am not willing to risk that. I don't know what to do.Is there anyone that can help.

I was reciently diagnosed with HPV by a pap smear. I am schedualed for a colposcopy in Dec. I am having a clear discharge, redness and itching. I am very irritated. I have no warts that I can see yet. The doctors thought that I was having an allergic reaction to a yeast infection cream but I was given a shot for that and the redness cleared up for a few days and now is back. It is not unbearable pain but it is uncomfortable. I was just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms and if there is anything I can do to alleviate my discomfort till Dec. Everywhere you read it says no symptoms but I did find these symptoms listed on Yahoo health. Could this mean I am about to have an outbreak of warts? Also if you have had these symptoms did they eventually go away? THANKS

Hiya.
I was wondering if anybody could help me. I need as much information about the causes of Asthma and Rubella (German Measels) as posible. This is for a research assigment. If possible, preventions and information of managing the illnesses would be greatly appreciated.
I'm doing a Diploma In Child Care and Education, so information on working with children with these illnesses is vital for my course.

Thankyou in advance.

Bryony.

Now, I understand, you can get them through contact and such like. But......I also understand that once you have the virus, you all ways have it and you will most likely keep getting warts forever. But to pass the virus on to some one else, do you have to have a wart or not? Can you pass on one without actually having a wart present or can people just catch it from having contact with you...who has the virus?

The information that about now, is overwhelming in it's proof that smoking DOES harm the people around them, yet these selfish smokers WILL continue to poison those babies & children who, they say, "They Love so much".

I smoked from the age of 10 up to the age of about 35 years, (I am now 73) BUT when it was proved that smoking kills and causes those terrable lung conditions and a cough that DOES NOT SEEM TO STOP even now, I am utterly appalled when I see these people, as I have mentioned before, smoke in front of their & others' babies & young children.

I stopped so can they, but the answer seems to be that these people have NO will power and are selfish into the bargain.
Any comments folks?
