i have had epilepsy since i was 9, nothing too serious just a few grand mal in my sleep, and jerks and pettite mal, and numbness and stuff! two weeks ago i was diagnosed with JME im not too sure what i can and cant do i know the usual... stay fit and healthy.. blah blah! but i want to play football and the training is really hard and tough and very demanding, (sometimes 3 times a week) is it too hard!?????? doctor says excercise but is this too much also i want to join the gym!

i have jme epilepsy too and was advised by my dr not to join a gym but could do v light exercise but i have grand mal seizures both day and nite most days so ask ur dr different people different rules.good luck

This will be fine, just check with your Dr to see if your medication may need adjustment. You will need to make the gym staff aware, so they can monitor you to make sure nothing happens!! Good luck and stay well.
