My second and hopefully final appointment to the dentist about the root canal I got done a week ago is tomorrow. I just called to confirm what procedure is left to be done and my dentist said "post" something... im assuming post and core? now what is this for? i read its to prepare tooth for a crown, but my tooth wasnt really destroyed after the root canal procedure. Is it possible to get a post and core and not get a crown (instead just fill it with a filling)??

This is the man who bypassed legislature and issued it mandatory for girls to get the Gardasil vaccine. Merck has also doubled it's lobbying money in the state of Texas. Mike Toomey, a lobbyist for Merck is Perry's former chief of staff. So, is this vaccine really to protect the little girls out there from cervical cancer or to protect the pocket books of the politcal money hungry pigs in Texas? Merck is also lobbying for all states to make it mandatory. Merck stands to make billions if this works. Remember folks, this vaccine has not been tested for long term health problems.

Could there be a mistake. My diabetic mother-in-law says not to take pills because I will become dependent and my grandma says not to believe the doctor because she is wrong. I think that believing the professional that took the time to get a degree would be best. What do you guys think?

I am a 21 year old female who is trying to lose 40 pounds. I've been eating healthy for the past few weeks, but I've only been consuming about 1,000-1,200 calories a day. I eat 3 meals, 2 snacks and drink plenty of water every day (I drink nothing but water). I never feel hungy and I'm eating meat, fruit, veggies and grains. I've read that it is dangerous to consume so few calories, but I really feel like my diet is balanced. Should I reconsider? Also, I walk 3 miles a day and l lift 8lb weights every other day to help build muscle.

i feel v depressed, and doing small things seem pointlees, i have no interest in things and no motivation to do anything, i got loads of thoughts in my head, questionning this that and the other. have been having panic attacks, was having lot of sleepless nights - lack of appetite, no desire for life and cant see way forward, i been counselling, but am worse then when i started.

when i with people now it feels like nothng is real, i speak they speak, but it dont seem real, i know what going on, but it like it not really happening.

I am thinking of getting lasik, but am wondering if you have to wear your glasses before getting the sugery, I should wear glasses, but I just dont want to wear them. Is it possible just to go in and get the surgery without correcting your vision with glasses first?

I used to be a firm believer in God, but with all the tragedies in our family--where is God? It isn't because I didn't have enough faith. Now it scares me that when people die, they're just dead like a plant or something. I start into a panic and feel lost, alone. Then I look at the bigger picture--war victims, murders, all the past celebrities I loved are dying, etc. Tell me something to give me hope.

I started my diet and work out the second week of January I was at 158lbs. By the end of January I was at 153lbs. I don't know if that's good or not but it's something. I've been stuck at 153 for 2 weeks now and I just feel like i'm not getting anywhere. I do 30 minutes on the treadmil then do four different weight machines for legs. I have been eating Healthy Choice frozen meals and lean pockets with vegetable sticks for snacks and yogurt. What else can I do? I'm frustrated cause I feel Like i'm never going to lose these frustrating pounds. I'm 5'5 so i'm very much over weight. Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I ate fish this past weekend. Here it is Thursday and I still can smell the fish odor coming out of my skin. I shower twice daily and brush my teeth and wash my clothes. I drink lots of water all day and have not had fish since Sunday. I do not understand why I am still smelling that fish odor. Help please!

i have had my back tooth extracted 2 days ago! and although i felt nothin during or after, this past 2 days my gum, not in the hole part but the side is swollen like a little bubble. and my cheek is sore and swollen slightly! i used to get abcesses an this was the reason for getting the tooth out, now im scared as i dont know whether this is just the after effect of tooth extraction or is there somethin wrong! remember this was 2 days ago!

About 8 monthes ago, I was diagnosed with Herpes 2. I was totally unsuspecting and shocked by this. Over the years, I occasionally would get an itchy bump, wich I just thought I was sensitive, not an STD. Some other symptoms were similar to like a yeast infection or UTI. This is something I've thought to be normal for 7 years. I've had sexual intercourse with only 3 men. I'm married, and my husband has never shown any symptoms. He hasn't been tested. They say the first outbreak is the worst, and the only time I can think of is when I was 20 and was in a relationship with not my current husband, I had a what I thought was a terrible yeast infection and uti at the same time. I do remember an irritated bump then too, but I guess I was affraid to look down there, as I was pretty young. I am trying to be as positive and as educated as I can regarding this cancer. My entire family and doctors, are optimistic because they caught it in its very early stages...but this is the more aggressive of the two types of lymphoma. My family live elsewhere around the world, I am alone here and although I have many friends who support me with this issue, I want to be part of a support group that deals mainly with this. I feel the more I know how to handle my emotions and self, the better I can be there for my father and the rest of my family. Please help. I live in San Francisco.
