I was reading an article on a gel that will be available in 2008 to stop transmission of herpes and hiv called viva gel. does anyone know about this and could people who have the virus use it as a means of stopping transmission to someone else as well?

Usually when I'm on feet I get this really strong pain behind my knee on the back of my leg and it's like a muscle spasum and it doesn't stop..when I put weight on my foot it hurts even more and if I keep walking on it, it tightens up soo bad I can't even walk...What is going on?

My daughter contracted head lice. I am worried about her stuffed animals being contaminated, but I think washing in hot water will wreck some of them. So what about putting them in the microwave for a couple of minutes? That should kill anything, shouldn't it?

I am able to get back to sleep, but I know the interruption can't be good.

How to stop stinky feet? My dad's feet could gag a maggot....

A family member of mine has been an addict for a couple of years now. He has done the rehab thing a few times but never for long..the first time being only over a month (I think insurance couldn't cover any more) and the second and third times were only a couple of weeks each. He has no money (what addict does...) so he can't afford to pay for another rehab and I don't have any to help him either.

He says he wants to quit but that whenever he tries he can't sleep the entire time to the point where it drives him crazy. How can I convince him that not sleeping is better than what he is doing right now and that he needs to stop? I live in constant fear that I am going to get a phone call that he is dead. What can I do to try and stop this..the rest of my family has given up and gone back to living their lives and pretending it doesn't exist but I am not going to sit around and wait for him to die.
