I was never able to take Statin drugs for Cholesterol because I always got muscle pain. All the other cholesterol drugs have 10mg as the smallest dosage, Crestor comes in 5mg. I've been taking it with no problems.

I have been on both Lipitor and Crestor and had side effects from both.
Muscle pain is a common side effect, and can be a sign of a very dangerous side effect. Rhabdomyolysis, which is essentially the breakdown of muscle tissue. It can also be a sign of a much less dangerous side effect, which is simple muscle pain and weakness without actual muscle breakdown.
You need to see your doc and report the side effect asap, just in case it's the more dangerous (and fortunately less common) side effect.
Your doc will likely take a blood sample and check it for signs of muscle damage. If there are signs of damage, you should stop the med as it can lead to kidney damage. If there are no signs of muscle breakdown, it's likely your doc will tell you to continue the med, and then you will have to make the decision of whether you want to continue the med of not.
There is a lot of info on the internet and in medical publications about the side effects of Crestor and other statins. And, unfortunately there are a lot of docs that refuse to believe that the symptoms people complain about are caused by the drugs.
Some of the side effects include muscle pain, aches and weakness....exercise intolerance....nerve pain....memory problems....depression, just to name a few.
Please see your doc about this and dont' ignore it.
You don't say how old you are or why you're taking a statin, but you might want to educate yourself about statins and alternative ways of treating lowering cholesterol and fighting inflammation, the most common reasons for taking statins.
Most people, if they are unable to take one statin, are also unable to take others, but sometimes changing the drug will help. You will have to work with your doc to see what's best for you.
Good luck and let us know what happens!!!
You might also want to check out a Yahoo group, Stopped_our_statins. There are many on there that have had various reactions to statins and there's a lot of info about alternative treatments.
Hope this helps some!
