I'am having surgery on Wednesday the 15th and I would like any advice from any woman that has
had surgery for pre cancer of the Vulvar..What I want to know is what to expect after the surgery,
Wil I have to go through chemo and radition??

You should look at the website eyesontheprize.com. It has stories about women and gyno cancers. I had endometrial cancer last year which was removed completely by surgery. Chemo and radiation will depend upon which stage and grade your cancer is. I was stage 1b, grade 2, and you find out after the surgery-after pathology has time to read it. Good luck.

I have had two vulvar surgeries for VIN 3, which is severe dysplasia. I had a wide local excision and laser surgery. You will not need chemotherapy or radiation for precancerous changes since your problem is not invasive.Treatment for precancer depends on the extent of the disease.

I am a moderator of a group for women who have vulvar dysplasia or cancer. We have lots of tips and information about this kind of cancer and what you can expect. You are not alone. Check out this site for after surgery tips etc.

I don't have any experience with this cancer, but have read accounts by patients. Hopefully someone will answer on here for you. Stay strong!
