What is the best way to make a cardboard cutout of somebody?
It's for a window display but it doesn't have to be perfect. I was thinking of buying a cheap cutout of somebody then sticking a large printout onto it, what do you think?

I have a bunch of old vinyl records. They are too scratched to play. I wanted to do something funky with them, like a door curtain or something. I'm a creative person but sometimes I can get stumped! Inspiration please! Thanks everyone!

I have some coins from the early 90's from Spain and France and the Netherlands. I was wondering if there was a place online to search for their value (if there is any!). I'm able to find information on them but not if they're worth anything now. Is there a place online to go or should I just head into a coin collector? (and, if I do go to a collector, do they charge anything?)

Im looking for a cool hobby shop in the SLC, UT area that sales model gas airplanes, big ones with about 5-6 ft wingspan. Or an online one with a decent model and a likewise decent price. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome.

I have a photograph of a relative from the 1880's. It is the most adorable picture of a little girl holding puppies. I would like to do something creative with it, but I don't know what. Any ideas?

I am getting into sewing, making handbags, dolls, kids clothes. I find myself running back to the store for supplies a lot. So, my question is- what should I have in my sewing kit?

Also, I want to buy a sewing machine that is around $150- any suggestions for brand, model, what I should be looking for, etc... I sew everything by hand now and I need a machine!

Any other beginner sewing tips would be appreciated!

I do know SBA's were minted in 79' 80' 81' and 99' for a 10 year anniversary. They appeared in 79-81 proof sets, but not in 99. Any reasons?

My grandma is nearing her 70's and has always wanted a baby grand piano...I just can't afford to get her one since they cost more money than I have to my name, but I know a lot of people have perfectly good pianos just sitting around that never get used. Please, if you have a baby grand piano you can no longer use that's in fairly good condition, (possibly even a digital one,) you would make her (and my) dream come true! (A small amount of money may be do-able, but I really can't afford much!)

I used to be able to take a letter-sized page, rip off the bottom to leave a square, make a boat with that, then rip the bottom strip into two more squares, and make a two-part man with that, that would fit nicely in the boat. I still remember how to make the boat (don't see it anywhere on the web, but it's a cool boat - more of a dinghy than a sailboat), but I can't remember how to make the man. I believe all three start from the same folds. The lower part of the man has two legs, and slots nicely into the top part.

I'd love to recall how to do this.

I need a sewing machine that's easy to use, i.e. it doesn't need 500 built in stitches... I want to be able to make clothes and it also needs to be durable enough to work on denim. I'm a beginner also, so i want something relatively cheap to start out with. also needs to be a quiet machine. Any recommendations? thanks

My mother and i bought a lot of natural stone a while back and we have been polishing them in a tumbler. Today we found a LARGE Blue Star Sapphire and we were wondering if a local jeweler would cut it for us for a nominal fee?

I'm looking to start a hobby in my spare time. I have tons of summer ones, but no good winter activities I like and I live in Chicago.

Can anyone suggest some (hopefully adventurous) hobbies for a city-dweller?

Thanks.

I am wondering if anyone has any experience in doing this. I want to paint some 2 inch styrofoam balls with either black, hot pink or white paints then I want to glitter the balls to make them sparkle. Do they make glitter in black and hot pink and does anyone know what the result will look like? I am making a centerpiece for a table and want to fill a glass bowl with the three different colors, will you be able to tell that they are styrofoam balls? I wanted to use Christmas balls, but its hard to find black and hot pink balls that are inexpensive unless they are in the specialty sections of the stores and I need 10 centerpieces, so I cant afford all the specialty shop christmas balls. Any advice?

you all are familiar with a steel 1943 penny.

I got a steel { silver colored} 1964 penny.
I looked at it very closely and I cannot see any sign of copper anywhere.
Is this a mint error or fraud?
