pinback button?

how do you make one? if possible, can we make it without using a machine or something?

My local craft store has buttons where you can insert your picture. They're $1.00 each.

I have also made some simple ones using the card-size laminating sheets from Wal mart. I print my picture, laminate it, cut the shape and then duct tape it to a pinback. The pinbacks are in the beading section of the craft store.
