Even though the 2001-P 1/2 was not issued for circulation it still had a mintage of 21,200,000. The D ( Denver mint ones) were issued for circulation. None of the 2002 were issued for circulation and had much lower mintage's 3,1000,000 for P (Philadelphia) and for Denver 2,5000,000. Most of the time, but there are exceptions, coins with lower mintage's sell for more than higher mintage ones. Hope this answers your question.
