I have some coins from the early 90's from Spain and France and the Netherlands. I was wondering if there was a place online to search for their value (if there is any!). I'm able to find information on them but not if they're worth anything now. Is there a place online to go or should I just head into a coin collector? (and, if I do go to a collector, do they charge anything?)

I think it would be better to take them to a collector or a coin dealer because they can visually see them and give you a more accurate price on the value of them. They may charge and they may not. I would call around and ask if they charge anything to do it. They may have to put them under a magnifier before they can tell you if they're worth anything. Good luck.

There is no free site and in fact very few pay sites. World coins is a large subject and is taken care of in price guides that are no cheap. Finally with the invention of DVD's now I have world coins on 3 discs 1801-1900, 1901-2000 & 2000- 2007. It takes the place of 3 books that would cost around $160 plus postage but the DVD's are only $99.95 for the set. Most coins made in the 1990's have large mintages and unless they are made of gold or silver have no value. They end up in a dealers world coin box for .10 to .25 cents each. This is the best i can do without knowing what coins you have.
