I live in the southern US, and I ran across this coin at my job the other day. At first I thought it was just a Canadian dime, but I looked at it closer, and discovered it has not monetary value on it. It's the size of a dime and has something to do with the 25th anniversary of the 1972 Summit Series hockey games.

Here it is compared to a Canadian dime and quarter.

And the obverse sides. The spot in the middle of it looks like some type of damage.

Any help identifting this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there, so this year we are making Christmas presents for each other. I have made my dad a fine and beautiful walking stick from Crape Myrtle and now I have cut a small cedar down to make a walking stick for my brother. Going to make one for his wife out of a holly tree. Does anyone have any experience making walking sticks from these two woods?

Are there any good sites online that teach how to sew. I just bought a sewing machine, and wanted to teach myself how to do it.

Some of my gold George Washington dollar coins are getting tarnished and I am wondering what would be the best way to get them to a spiffy shine yet again. Don't bother suggesting coca-cola or lemon juice - I tried those already and they just ended up with this corrosive finish instead of golden. =/

Any advice would be helpful.

I'm just curious because suddenly I became interested in making cards, greeting cards and happen to be pretty good at artistic designs of many type designs [majored in commercial art as well and always at the top of my classes]

but anyway, was thinking that some of these highly decorative cards [drawn/handpainted and little rhinestones here and there w/ultra fine glitters] would be of interest to artistic minded folks to buy for special occassions instead of reg. hallmark mass produced cards
what do you think?

I'm trying to make some return address labels for Xmas cards & I want to put a little piece of clip art to the left of the address. But I keep getting the first line of the address running alongside the bottom of the picture I want to use. (It's a cactus, & then my name appears as if it's running along the ground at the base of the cactus.) How do I do this so that the first line of the address starts beside the top of the cactus, & the last line of the address is beside the bottom of the picture? I'm trying to use Word & columns to do this....

I would provide you with 2 cotton King sheets, and thread, and of course pay you for the work. How much would you charge?

Thanks. And how long would it take to sew and is it difficult?

I would REALLY love to knit or crochet(I do both) a guinea pig, but I cannot find any patterns! Could I get some help? Free, only, please!

It is driving me crazy not being able to find one.

I will settle for a rabbit pattern, if it is like the natural rabbit stance, you know? Like, hunched over.

My job consists of working at a Mexican fast food restaurant. Whilst talking amongst co-workers about artistic oddities, I got this crazy idea in my head.
I want to make a hard taco shell into a Christmas ornament.
I know what "ingredients" (artistic supplies) that I want to use for certain things.
However, my question is this...

*************
What would I put FIRSTLY on said taco shell, to preserve it and make it a bit stronger?
*************
-I thought about, lacquers of all sorts, some sort of clear coat or gloss. I'm not for positive though. I want something, that's not to terribly messy.
I'd appreciate ideas, input, suggestions,...etc.
Thank you.

All the sites I've been reading to make snowglobes with my class of kiddos says to add this or that to help the glitter fall more slowly. I'm having exactly the opposite problem, my glitter FLOATS in water. I've tried both white and silver. Any ideas?
