I'm just curious because suddenly I became interested in making cards, greeting cards and happen to be pretty good at artistic designs of many type designs [majored in commercial art as well and always at the top of my classes]

but anyway, was thinking that some of these highly decorative cards [drawn/handpainted and little rhinestones here and there w/ultra fine glitters] would be of interest to artistic minded folks to buy for special occassions instead of reg. hallmark mass produced cards
what do you think?

There are certainly very nice handmade cards in big stores in London, but someone I know had to make 700 for Liberty of London in a very short period (all her family had to help out). Superior quality cards will sell at Craft Fairs, especially before Christmas (it's a bit late now), but you need to pick places with the right kind of demographic, and also try eBay.

Rich people can be artistic too. How much will you sell your cards for. I appreciate art but do not always buy everything I like. It all depends but if I fall in love with your card i may buy it but will not pay over a certain amount.
Yes, you have to market it right. Everything has a value to someone when marketed right. This woman makes $40000 a year by selling tumble weed and she started this business as a joke. The Dog clothings is also bought by certain people so it all depends.

If people are artistic they might make the cards themselves. I think it all depends on how much you charge for the cards and how you market them on who would buy them.

Artistic people make their own cards. People with limited time to make them, or those who aren't into card making will buy them.

Artistic people would rather make their own cards.

Wealthy people enjoy shopping in boutiques like Kitson, so if you can get your cards into a shop, that's where they would see it. In my experience, the internet is for bargain-hunters or people who don't like retail stores.
