I'm trying to make some return address labels for Xmas cards & I want to put a little piece of clip art to the left of the address. But I keep getting the first line of the address running alongside the bottom of the picture I want to use. (It's a cactus, & then my name appears as if it's running along the ground at the base of the cactus.) How do I do this so that the first line of the address starts beside the top of the cactus, & the last line of the address is beside the bottom of the picture? I'm trying to use Word & columns to do this....

Within each label column, make a table that is 5 columns and 3 rows. Under "speedformat", choose "no lines no border" or whatever command will let you see the lines faintly but not print them.

Drag your mouse to highlight the far left column, right-click and choose "join cells" or "merge" or however your program does it. .

Drag your mouse to highlight the last 4 columns, JUST THE TOP ROW. Right-click and choose "join cells". Repeat for the second and third rows.

Now you should be able to insert your cactus in the left hand column and type your name and address on the rows.

Hi!

If you’re interested, there’s a seller on e-bay that will custom make the address labels for you. That will take all the hassle out of making them yourself.
They’re only $1.99 per sheet, and the labels are the 1 x 2.58” size, and they come in sheets of 30 labels per sheet. You can buy one sheet, or a million sheets… You can choose from any of the pictures in the listings – or send her any photo or graphic of your choice (like the cactus you want to use), and she’ll put it on the labels with whatever personalization you want, and in any font choice (she has a ton) and color you want. Also, she ships REALLY fast, so you’ll have them in like… 2-5 days from the time you place your order.
She doesn’t just make what she has listed.. she’ll custom make just about anything you have in mind.

Here’s the link to the listings if you wanna take a look…

Good luck!
