Are there any good sites online that teach how to sew. I just bought a sewing machine, and wanted to teach myself how to do it.

If you find that you get stuck a lot using websites, many adult ed departments offer sewing courses for beginners. Check your school department website for adult education and see if there is a course being taught in the evening. It's usually under $30.00 and lasts anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. You also may be able to find a club in your town whose members will be happy to teach you. Google "american sewing guild" and the name of your state - it should give you a list of ASG groups in your area.

i learned how to sew at a club and made a dress, its easy enough to do when you know how.
