It depends on how you are knitting in the round, actually. Some knitters knit with the needles away from them, which results in the public side of the work (I hate the terms *right* and *wrong* side) being on the inside of the circle made by the needles. Others knit with the needles closest to them, which results with the public side on the outer side of the circle.

In general, unless your pattern specifies *reverse stockinette* your knit side is the public side. When it comes to felting, it usually doesn't make a difference, since the piece should be felted sufficiently that the stitches are not recognizeable.

If you did a knit stitch, purl will be the wrong side.

Unless otherwise noted in the pattern, the inside (purl side) is usually the "wrong side".

an easy solution to this would be to cut your yarn and weave it into your work, now if you are working on straight needles, slip all your stitches so that you can start working on the right side of the work attach your yarn and continue with your pattern. if you are working on circulars simply cut your yarn and weave it in, then slide your stitches to the other end of the circular needle attach the yarn and continue knitting. if you have any other knitting problems, just let me know.
