Does anyone remember a Cardboard activity desk given out by GE. I found one at an estate sale and it says "GE Spirit of America Activity Desk" on the box. I'm just trying to find out when they were given out.

i need to learn how to sew. i have tried in the past but i am too impatient with sewing by hand and i dont have a sewing machine to learn with. for anyone who sews or owns a machine what type would u recomend? i am very clumsy with machines so i would need one that would be easy to use and learn, but also good quality that will handle all types of sewing. also how much would this cost? thank you

I've heard many people talking about teapots and steam to remove stamps from paper and envelopes. All I ever do is the dish and lukewarm water technique.

Does anybody know how to use steam? And if so, what do you need?

I am currently trying to make a quilt from wool. However, whenever I put it through the sewing machine, it stretches along the seam and is no longer a square, it's more of a rhombus. How am I supposed to sew it so that it does not stretch like that?
