Ready for a real answer, well first of all we know it is worth 7-8 times face for it's silver content. In grade good it is worth $2.25 and goes up to $3.00 in extra fine grade. In mint state it is worth $17.00-$68.00. It is not a rare date but as time goes by it will become scarcer. By the way 19,701,542 were minted, that is kind of low for the Philadelphia mint, back in the 1930's. That maybe why it is listed in coin dealers price guide. It also has .18084 oz. pf pure silver.

Rare coins are classified as vf (very fine) or xf (extra fine) condition. You said yours is a little worn, so it's worth is probably not xf, and a collector would have to tell you if it's vf condition. Value also varies according to where it was minted, e.g. D = Denver, S = Sacramento. Here's the value: (no mint indicated) vf - $3, xf - $4 D -- vf $5, xf $12 S -- vf $12, xf $20

If you want to buy one - probably a whole lot. If you are selling one - probably about 25 cents. I have lots of old and rare coins and if I go to buy one - sometimes they want hundreds of dollars. Then if I ask them to buy mine they say it is worth about 25 cents. When I point to theirs and ask WHAT !!!! - they say it just depends on who is buying and who is selling.
