I have sewn a little bit in the distant past and remember a little bit. I have done a tiny bit of machine work, but it was with tons of help. I am good at doing hand sewing. I have altered some of my own dresses becuase I am smaller in the shoulders. I hand mend and do buttons. I am good with design because I have been making and designing jewelry for over 10 years.

I just need a basic class at a place that does not require me to buy their machine and then someone to help me to work on my own ideas. I already have designs in my head. I just need the skills.

Any ideas please help.

I am a major beginnner when it comes to sewing how can I teach myself to thead the machine. I keep forgetting. Is there a trick? Can I write it down somehow? I will have someone show me, but then I forget. Is there a trick?

If there is a sewing category or another better category please let me know where it is.

I just talked to a friend in North Pole, Alaska, who told me about this lady at a craft show who made fashion scarves with thin, glittery yarn by swirling it around and pressing it with some type of paper, which makes it stick like that permanently even if you wash it. My friend said these scarves were really cute, but she couldn't hear what the lady was saying so she didn't know exactly how she made the scarves. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm curious as to how to do that now. Thanks much!

I have gone though 2 crapsman glue guns in just one year of general use.

the first one didn't push the glue stick correctly out of the box and my second one is leaking glue into the case of the gun...

I'm currently using this model from sears

I'm looking for a much better unit and brand that can handle my heavy use as well as something like 60W to heat it up fast.
I also want it to use the current .44 inch craftsman glue sticks

I would like to attach pendants using brooches or pins I own . I have MS and not able to handle very intricate skills, but I do have a dremel and dremel drill stand. I would be so happy for any suggestions (I still LOVE my jewelery!!) Thanks

I collect cards and am pricing my collection. I'm noticing that some cards that I thought wouldn't be worth anything are more expensive than some of the big names.
What determines how much a card is worth? Does anybody know? I'd like to get serious into my hobby.

The song Banana pancakes by jack johnson,

I can't figure out how he is making the beat sound, If he is slapping the strings, or if he is simply playing a muted chord.

I can play and duplicate the song, However i dont know how recreate the sound he is making.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, Here is a link to the song if anybody can figure it out.
