My costume idea is a lava lamp. I want to use some sort of clear plastic material for what would be the glass of a real lava lamp. It doesn't have to be extremely sturdy, but should hold its shape. What material could I use for this and where could I find it? I was considering a clear acetate film, but I'm not sure where to find that. Any suggstions would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter's little brother fell ill two weeks ago and has been hospitalized since....She is goin to see him tommorrow, does anyone have any ideas on what I can add to make a gift thingy up for him , from MY children??
I was thinking of adding things like juices.cookies, cakes,chips and candy along with coloring books, he really has to be pretty bored there...and has at least 3 weeks left to go!!!

I have had the kids color halloween pictures, and i just did pumpkin cut outs and let them put the eyes, nose, and the mouth on them. Once again i need them to be easy, and i dont have a problem with making them 2 parts. (letting them do the first part one week, and the second part the week after) if that makes since.

I'm looking for one that I can learn to quilt on mostly, so I need something that will work well with the layers of fabric. I was thinking of the Brother XL3500t or the White 1730. I think it would be a good idea to get one with the extension table on it, but I also want to get one that has more features than just a basic machine so I won't be buying another one in a few years, after I finally learn it. Does anyone have any comments about this?

My 13 year old wants to start learning how to play the guitar but does not want to take lessons because he wants to "teach himself". My girlfriend and I want to buy him an acoustic guitar for his upcoming birthday and we were wondering if there was a specific DVD or book that you would recommend to accompany the guitar to help him learn how to play? Nothing too advanced, but something that a 13 year old would enjoy and understand.
