I just taught myself how to knit about a week ago. Once I feel that I have accomplished that I would like to learn how to crochet properly.

I learned to crochet at the age of 11 and have been doing it for 35 years. Yes that makes me 46. If it's made out of yarn I can do it.

I love to crochet. I started out making hot pads for my kitchen. Then went to baby blankets. I have since crocheted several big blankets for friends of mine. I never accepted any money for any of them. I just truly enjoyed doing it.

The ones that I gave away, every one said was so beautiful. But the funny part is, after all that I have crocheted, I have yet to make one for me. It seems every time I get one made, I think of someone that could use a blanket for the winter. One of these days maybe....

Thanks for your question.

Hi there!

I taught myself to crochet about four years ago, and just love it. Try as I may, I just cannot seem to pick up knitting quite as easily though...just too used to only using one hook, I think.

I crochett, have made many, many afgans, several for wedding and or anniversary gifts. A lady from my church taught me this hobby when I was twelve years old, she tried to teach me knitting too, but I wasn't co-ordinated enough to run two needles, so I learned to crochett and my best freind-who didn't get it- learned to knitt.
