My costume idea is a lava lamp. I want to use some sort of clear plastic material for what would be the glass of a real lava lamp. It doesn't have to be extremely sturdy, but should hold its shape. What material could I use for this and where could I find it? I was considering a clear acetate film, but I'm not sure where to find that. Any suggstions would be greatly appreciated.

Go to a fabric store and you can get clear plastic tablecloth type stuff, should be relatively cheap.

Hi kid_A, I hope you live near a "Costco"? They have these "plastic" forms on most of there clothing IE; bathing-suits, shirts, shorts etc. I worked there, so I know they will give you at least "2" of them free of charge. Other than that, I would suggest "Tap-Plastics" or "Home-Depot", basically any home-improvement store in your area. F.Y.I. ask for "assistance", they know their "stuff"...or at least they should! Have Fun, sounds like a "cool", I mean..."hot" costume. LOL! XOXO Moonpie
