let's see who can come up with the most interesting ending for this beginning:

It's a twilight on a cold winter. You are in one of the tallest buildings of a large city, ready to leave. The lift goes down smoothly.. it's a glass elevator and the view is beautiful... all the lights of the city....but suddenly it stops and you see how all the lights of the city go out. It's a complete darkness.

Any tips on winning? Any frustrations? Tell me if you won anything! My most recent win (10/13) was from Shape.com: A basket of Mrs. Meyers Clean Day cleaning products (retails at about $40 and was a one time entry)!! My biggest win was my FIRST win way back in 1991. It was a Winston grand prize to drive a funny car or a stock car but I took the 1800 in cash :) After that I was hooked! What's your story?

I do not want shares that are currently trading - only shares that are unissued or cancelled (the older the better).

Thanks!!

I just purchased many single sheet stationery pages ranging (probably) from 5.5" x 7" to 8.5" x 11" and I want to store them in either a book-like way or maybe portfolio style. I've done some research on scrapbooking but unsure if that's the best way to go. And if it is, what sort of scrapbooking materials would I need? I know I don't want to glue them on since some of the stationery are double-sided and I want to see both sides, if possible.

Any (honest and serious) help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I can do the knit stitch fine and the purl stitch just as well. Yet when I attempt to do something where I knit 1, purl1, I always get a mess. The stitches end up all crooked on the needle, sometimes a few are crossed, or hooked together. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I am pretty sure it must have something to do with moving the yarn from front to back.

Tips?

I have a bag full of useless crayon bits. I've seen multi-colour crayons before, presumably homemade. Is it simple enough to do?

I've heard there are different types of albums- some come so that you can add and take out the pages yourself, others come already "set in stone" shall we say. Which one is the one that you can take out and add pages yourself? Is that the PostBound album?

This weekend I went to the Bob Evans Farm festival and I saw one exhibit where I really wanted to buy something and learn to make the things myself. They cut apples into slices and preserved them in paraffin. They said the apples would last forever like that. They also scented the apples with cinnamon. They made baskets and other things out the apples, one apple basket had real flowers preserved with paraffin, which they said would last forever as well. Has anyone here ever heard of this, I would like to know how to make them myself? I tried searching the internet and can't find anything.

I have a piece of paper with two sketched pictures of German coins and information by them.

"Friedrich Christian
Herzog zu Sachseh
31 December 1893"

and

"Prihz Georg
Herzog zu Sachseh
15 Janvar 1893"

I was wondering where I could get more information on these coins.
