I have a 6 year old nephew that has casts on both his legs. They're from his toes to half way up his little thighs. They're a light to a medium green color. Do you have any ideas about what he can dress up as for Halloween? Any help will be more than appreciated.

I recently became enthrawled with these tiny works of art called buttons. In the past, they were used to dress up clothing, not just as a functioning fastener that we know today. I have quite a few really gorgeous old pieces, and, being new to the hobby, I would like to learn more about it. So, I will start with a question about a term I've seen used in some on-line auctions.

I've heard of the nostepinde but it looks kinda hard to operate. Does anybody at least know of a video I can watch to get the art down?

I have pared down my books and donated those I know I no longer need. Now I am left with a lot of technical reference books just in case. A lot of the books I own interested me years ago and now I wouldn't even bother to check them out of the library.

I have about 10 books on plants, 10 books on astrology, and 10 books on old hobbies such as physics and music theory.

Every single hat I crochet for myself is too big! When I crochet for others, they fit just fine. My gague is always correct, but I always end up with a hat I can't wear. What am I doing wrong?

My sewing machine has the letters " Fr. Wilh. Cunz" on the stand in wrought iron, and the letters "Mosella" on the removable wooden lid. It also says Paris 1900 on the actual machine.

I just broke out the sewing machine I got last year for Christmas. I have only sewn a pillow and a tote bag back in junior high so I am not experienced! What would be a good starter project for me? ( besides a pillow or tote bag...lol)

I have just left my multi-keyboard after playing jazz for half an hour and I am exhausted.
Enjoying myself like mad, it made me wonder what other people did before they became addicted to Answers.
I thought I was fit after working outside this year, but it is an eye opener to see how one's body deteriorates sitting in front of Answers for a few hours on a regular basis.
I have been mixing up sand and cement amongst other tasks.

Perhaps it's because I am out of practise with physically moving both arms with ten fingers with my left foot running around the pedals like a madman?
Where my dumbbells?

I'm trying to find something much like the metal crimp tubes used to bind the plastic hair for My Little Pony tails. I have many who are missing theirs because they pop out easily when pulled on, revealing that all they did to apply them was
1. cut a piece of hair twice the length of the intended tail piece
2. bind it tightly in the very center with a piece of bendable (and rust-able) metal
3. push the metal tube lengthwise into the hole for the tail and
4. pull the shorter side of the tail even so that the side of the crimp exposed to the hole is too big to fit back through the hole,
like one of those plastic T-shaped tag strings found in most department store clothes as well as stuffed animals and other fabric products. Does anyone know what else I can use to make new tails without damaging the ponies at all?
