The 1934-D is not a rare coin and someone else here gave you the mintage figure of 7,480,000. There are actually two varieties one has a small D and one has a Large D. No price guide lists one worth more than the other. As for grading a good has legends and date readable, but there is no horn on the buffalo (actually Bison ) retail value $2.00. A very good has a half horn, and sells for $3.00. a fine has 3/4 horn shows, the obverse (Indian side ) must have full rim and sells for $5.00. A very fine has a full horn and Indian's cheekbone worn, it sells for $10.00. A extremely fine has a full horn and there is slight wear on Indian's head ribbon, it sell for $23.00. I doubt your coin grades any higher than this. if you think so re-ask the question or Email me. Hope this info helps. I gave you retail prices expect to get 40 to 50% less if sold to a coin dealer.

Go to a coin collector, and they may be able to tell you what it is worth.
