So here's the situation. It's heads up between my two friends in Holdem because I folded. Bob has pocket K/7 and Billy has K/8. Bob burned one and flopped: K/8/7. Bob pre-burns, because he has a nasty habit of doing it for some reason when it's his turn to deal. Billy goes all in, and Bob calls. They show. Bob burns and the turn is irrelevent. Bob burns again and the river is a 7. Bob "wins".

After the river, Bob jumps up in joy and the cards/chips get knocked all around in the pot etc. However, I suddenly remember that Bob burned twice before the turn because of the pre-burn, and Billy concurs. There is a big dispute because Bob claims he didn't, who should win, should they split, blah blah.

The question is, what should be done? In my opinion, the dealer who misdealed should take full responsibility, and thus Billy should win the pot. What do you guys think? It's basically up to me to sort this out tommorow when we meet again. Is there an official ruling on this anywhere?

Hello all! I love the movie "Casino" with DeNiro & Pesci, but there's one scene that I just don't follow with regards to "casino lingo":

---
INT. ACE'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

ACE (Into telephone): What is it?

SHERBERT (Over telephone): The little guy. He's half in the bag, and nobody told him he was eighty-sixed from the joint, so we all turned our heads and made out like we didn't know who he was. He's over at the twenty-one table with his nose wide open. He took the money out of his own kick. His nose is open for about ten thousand. Now, he's really pissed!

ACE: Oh, no.

SHERBERT: He wants a fifty-thousand marker.

ACE: No, just - just give him, give him ten. That's it. Ten. I'll be right down.
---

Ok, so... twenty-one table = Blackjack table. That I understand. But whats the whole "marker" thing about?

My lottery winning was based on my Yahoo email address. Is this for real or just a scam? Does Yahoo sponsor such a lottery?

Last month she lost £30,000. She is claiming that whilst she has lost a lot, her luck will change in the future. It is her own money though, so I feel like I can't tell her what to do with it.

i won 1,000,000 dollars, from free lotto, but i dont response for which they are asking for my my credit card no., coz it is too risky to do, and stupid..but they keep on sending me notifications about my winnings..i don't belive this, for it was such too good to be true..but i just received a mail check from them amounting to 18 cents..well, 18 cents dont make sense from a 1,000,000 dollars prize..but it keeps me wondering what behind that institution..and my father just told me, a week ago, that he received a sms msg from glo lotto, notifying him about his winning price 1,000,000 GreatBritainPounds, and they also asking for his email address, to which it woul be their means of transaction..according to what procedures they have sent to my father's email, before he can claim his prize, he must send an amount of 1,000 GBP as an acceptance fee..it is too ridiculous, because they are asking for money first before he can get his prize..but my father seems to belived..ur comments can help.

Hi I have a probability question. And it can be related to Poker (cause thats what I need it for =). My question is ...

I have 1100 chips and my opponent has 1900 chips. We are all-in and my odds of winning the pot (doubling up) was 81%. I win.

In the same game, my opponent has 750 chips left and I have 2250 chips. We are all-in again and I am 67% to take the rest of his chips. BUT instead, HE wins and doubles up thereby we now have 1500 chips each.

We go all-in again and I am 61% to win and I do and I win the tournament. The question is ... WHAT WERE MY OVERALL ODDS OF WINNING THAT GAME? I was 81% to double up then I was 67% to win the game (but lost), then I was 61% to win the game (and won).

What is the equation you use to figure this out?? Would there be any variation if the stack sizes above were different? (Supposing I had 1400 chips on the last all-in and won and he was left with 200 chips, how would that affect the outcome?).

Thanks so much for info !!!!!
