You win and lose at craps, but here is my strategy. You may lose in 10 minutes, but it can build quickly... let's say it is a $5 table... cash in for $200 of chips:
1) $5 pass line bet
2) When you have a point (let's say 9), take maximum odds and place $5 on the come line.
3) If 7, you lose the pass and odds, win the come. If craps, you lose the come line (repeat), if 9, win pass and odds, come bet goes to the 9.
If any other point (say 6), take odds. You now have 2 numbers with full odds.
4) I take a 3rd bet (so repeat 2 and 3).
5) When it is working, it is beautiful. If you roll a 6 (in the above example), you do what is called an "off and on". You win the 2nd come bet and the odds, and your come bet goes to the 6. But since your bets on the table are staying the same, they just give you the winnings and you stay on the 6 and 9.
6) Once you are up a bit (if you are), consider going for a 4th number. Only when I am in a zone do I try for a 5th.
7) Note: The worst scenario is 6-8-9-7. In 4 rolls you'll lose 1 pass line bet, 2 come bets, and 3 odds bets. At 2X odds, that is $45 in about 3 minutes.
Good luck!

As sone of those people who has made "a killing" at the craps table I can tell you that for every time I have been a big winner I have been a smaller loser multiple times.
There best strategy is to only play the bets where the house has the smallest advantage. You will still lose more than you make in the long run, but if you play often enough you will have some fantastic winning streaks.

Try this at a $5.00 Table Don't play the pass line let the shooter make a point place the 6 & the 8 for $18.00 each on the first hit Take down the 6&8 @18.00 and ad $2.00 dollars to place $22.00 on the board you will now only have Two of your dollars at risk play the numbers pressing every third hit on a #

It really depends on the type of risk you are willing to make versus reward you seek.
Most "experts" tell you the center section bets are for "suckers". While it is true that they have a high house advantage, they also may serve a purpose, such as a crap bet insuring against a pass line on a come out, etc...
I personally have a very conservative approach and only play 6 & 8 place bets. I vary the amounts of my wagers depending on the situation (cash flow, hot roller, etc...)

Craps isn't a complex game. I think people shy away from crap table because the lay out looks so confusing. But the game is really simple. Bet the pass-line and take the full odds behind your pass-line bet. Make come-bets and take the full odds. That's all you need to know!!
Because if you make any other bets on that table, you are throwing money away......

Well, I think that the best strategy to that game is to find someone who is lucky to throw the dice. There are so many variables to win at that game, that there can be no real strategy other than being there at the right time!

My advice is to always take max odds on you line and come bets. If you have place bets press them . If you have hardway parlay them. Stay away from the field and one roll prop bets. Good Luck
