We are already selling nachos, hotdogs, drinks, and cookies. It's gonna be about 100 degrees tommorrow where I live, so we need something that people can walk around with, and that's not hot.

Ok, you know that Jack-in-the-Box commercial where Jack and his team are making fun of angus burgers to promote their sirloin burgers? Well, that got me thinking...what exactly is angus and sirloin? What part of the cow is it made out of? Is one "better" than the other? I'd really like to know. Please answer the following...and also tell me about your favorite angus/sirloin burger.

Two of my brothers and I are going to open up a bar and grill, we have almost anything worked out, including permits, but we still have not found a GREAT name for it, we need something short, that people will remember easy.

Where can I get a good burger west of the Mississippi?
I was in Delaware on business a while back and ate at a place called "Five guys" burgers; it was the best burger I'd ever eaten. Their store locator says they don't have any stores past the Mississippi river. I'll probably never go back there, but I travel on business from the Midwest to the West coast all the time. (Perferably in major cities)

the town im in is having a water shortage. due to that, one suggestion among many was to thaw food by placing it in standing water rather than running water over top it.

the process works fine for me, prompting me to wonder why (other than influence from growing up) anyone would use running water over standing water to thaw meat. whats the advantage of one over the other? is it just ignorance?

and yes, i obviously know there are other ways to thaw food. im not asking about that, so please keep it in context.

I am a vegetarian and unfortunately most of the desserts have egg. Maybe I will end out getting one with egg because I don't know another option.

I have never needed to bring a dessert before but on Saturday I should bring one. I can't prepare one well because fridge space and kitchen utilities are lacking here, as well as skill on my part. The place is about 45 minutes away so anything frozen would melt. What would you bring? And is there anything without egg that you can think of?
