I actually counted once. It was a loaf of Safeway white bread, unopened. With the end pieces I counted 21. How do you make sandwiches with an odd number of pieces?

i volunteer at a day care center so as u can imagine, we use a lot of bread. we usually have 13 kids a day for lunch and we always have to open the next loaf for one more sandwhich. so i'm guessing around 24 slices of bread per bag..
