Sirloin is a cut of beef and Angus is a type of beef (cow).
Angus beef is usualy very good quality beef and is originally bred from Scotland. For those who loved a good marbled beef Angus is a good choice.
Sirloin is a cut of beef that every cow has. The Sirloin cut is the top half and towards the back side of a cow. The meat is not as tender as the loin meats such asa filet, t-bone.
Hope this helps.

Angus is the type of cow the meat comes from. They are called black angus cows. the sirloin comes from the top sirloin cut of meat. It is a good grilling steak but a ribeye or t-bone is better for grilling. The sirloin is a less fatty meat is is usually only 10% fat to 90% lean. Good luck!!

RE:
What is the difference between Angus and Sirloin?
Ok, you know that Jack-in-the-Box commercial where Jack and his team are making fun of angus burgers to promote their sirloin burgers? Well, that got me thinking...what exactly is angus and sirloin? What part of the cow is it made out of? Is one "better" than the other? I'd really...

Black angus refers to the breed of the animal. I don't think if affects the flavor that much. It is generally considered to be a higher quality and therefore you pay more. I doubt that your could taste the difference by the time you slather cheese, mayo or other condiments on the burger. If you want a better quality ground beef----try ground chuck, ground sirloin or ground round. They are ground from specific primal cuts only and doesn't include things like: cheek meat, head meat, partially defatted tissue, etc. By the way, these items are definitely included in ground BEEF.

Sirloin can be cut from an angus cow. In my opinion, you're paying extra for the angus name.

Ground beef can be any type of ground beef (including black Angus). Black Angus does taste better and is more tender than Hereford or Holstein...Kobe beef is better than Black Angus (at a way higher price). I can tell a difference between grocery store "choice" ground beef and black Angus from our butcher. We had a party and I had BA ground beef and a friend brought ground beef from a grocery store. The burgers got mixed on the grill, but there was a taste difference between the two meats. It is more obvious when it comes to actual steaks. The BA will be more tender than lesser quality beef.

Purely marketing. Angus is one breed of cow, and Angus ranchers banded together to create a demand for that breed of beef cattle.
