Today I had the worse experience dining out.

The server was doing a ok job. So we just left him about 15% tip..which I thought was fair. (I know some people tip 20% or more but we were just students who cant afford to be very generous.) Anyway, while we stepped out of the restaruant, the server stopped us and said we didn't give enough tips. I told him that I gave him 15% pre-tax amount tip. He insisted it's 15% of grand total and said that "in America" tips are 15% of total amount includ tax. Ok, we are a bunch of foreign students, not Americans. However, we have being staying here for few years. It is not like we want to be cheap. We just thought, 15% should be added from the total amount of food and beverage but not the amount with tax. Cuz state tax is added by the government and it should have nothing to do with the restaruant. Correct me if I am wrong

What made me feel the worse was that he kept saying "in America" ..We were kind of hurt by that.

Do you ever think about the fact that it's an animal that was killed -which you're eating and lose your appetite? I know it sounds weird but that happens to me a lot. I notice it with one of my kids too-she's upset to eat meat or king crab legs. (not my influence)

I want to know the RIGHT way to put in my salt & pepper shakers. I have one with 1 hole and the other with 3 holes. Not the pans I know how to clean them. But the burner that gets hot. I know ya unplug them from the stove. But I don't know if ya can put it in the dish washer or what kind of cleaner to use on them. Husband was cookin and stuff over flowed and got on the burner. Need to clean it because smokes when I try to but the burner on

i dont like food..i'm a very picky eater...my mom never made me eat anything i didnt want to, and as a result, i dont eat a variety of foods...i cant remember the last time i bit a fruit..

how can i start eating food with out being disgusted..?

a fruit & a vegetable is that anything that has pips or a stone is a fruit, but (edible) plants with seeds are actually fruits. Very confusing. If cucumbers are 90% water, why does even a small amount cause indigestion & 'repeat' on people so much?
