McCains foods i worked for and was around chemicals for cleaning the plant. most of the chemicals it was a must that you where an self containe air pack breathing apradis. this was not provided......

The company you worked for is supposed to have the msds or material safety data sheets available for all employees, listing all the chemicals you may come in contact with. If you know the chemical name then try searching for it on line or type it here and I'll look it up. Also if it was a must that you wear an scba then it would have been within your right to refuse to work without one.The phrase below is from a site Safety.BLR.com. I typed msds on a search engine and found that site. Good luck.

If you call your local poison control center they should be able to assist you.

if you call your local poison center and tell them the chemical they can tell you everything you need to know....including how to treat it if need be.
