after eating a lot of it, yes... i think it's the sugar shells that creates friction against the tongue and makes it a little sore after awhile... plus your roof of the mouth might get sore too... and the sugar bits might get stuck between your teeth...

i rarely eat smarties nowadays :D

Only if I eat a lot of them...I also get that same sensation when I eat Sweet Tarts.
