Do you ever think about the fact that it's an animal that was killed -which you're eating and lose your appetite? I know it sounds weird but that happens to me a lot. I notice it with one of my kids too-she's upset to eat meat or king crab legs. (not my influence)

I get grossed out by pork sausage that is dripping with grease. I like lean meat and fish though. We humans are omnivores; vegetarianism is not our natural diet.

What is it with the retarded thumbs down? I don't like pork grease, and humans ARE omnivores. You got a problem with that???

The only time I ever get turned off while eating meat is if it's ground beef (a hamburger, meatloaf, etc.) and it's not thoroughly cooked. I love a medium rare steak, rare tuna steaks, etc., but when it's ground beef, it HAS to be cooked thoroughly. The taste and texture of undercooked ground beef is enough to make me gag. That always makes me lose my appetite. Not because it's an animal I'm eating though. I don't honestly think about that while I'm eating. All I can think while I'm eating meat is how good it is. :)

Once in a while, especially after dissecting animals in a lab, that has happened to me. However, I am what I am, and that means I'm an omnivore. After a few days, I'm generally back to my ordinary meat-eating self. Like it or not, it's our nature to eat other living things, and a plant is no less a living thing than an animal, in my opinion. We basically don't have a choice in the matter since we can't make our own food. Until such time as we have the ability to photosynthesize the nutrients we need, I guess that's what I'll keep doing.

No. I am aware that meat comes from an animal. I am also aware of how an animal is killed. I've seen first hand how many animals are killed and prepared for storage and then for cooking. It's not pleasant, but it is a large part of survival. Let me also say that I have never killed an animal, and never will.

Yes, I do. When I was expecting my eldest son ... I suddenly developed an distaste towards chicken. If I seen someone eating chicken ... I got sick. After I gave birth to my son, I still couldn't eat chicken for over two years. Actually, it still kinda grosses me out if I see a vein or tendon, while I'm eating it. I can't help but think ... omg, I'm chewing on an animal's leg. :(

no, not until i saw this video that was graphic about animals. But meat is too nice not to eat. BUt remeber of course death is not good, but be need it to survive. It's all apart of the food chain and nature.
