am got a new chicken and noddle soup and it has loads of sweetcorn in it and i hate sweetcorn get stuck in your teeth. but the soup is really nice yummy but its getting cold cos and sooping the sweetcorn out :-(

Why is shrove tuesday called pancake day?and why is it that pancakes are made on this day and not any other kind of food?Are pancakes an Ancient food and where they made for the VERY First Shrove tuesday?(i.e pancake day)also does the word "shrove"Mean "fat"?or not?

I used to love the mint version of millionaires shortcake, jam pie, and those cornflake cakes with a biscuity base and a layer of jam! Oh and mint custard!

I ask this because, as a very young child my dad would always give me raw oysters, steak, fish, but as I've grown up other people have told me that it's discusting and I could have gotten really sick and how horrible of my dad to feed me those things.

Are people just super paranoid or is there really that great of a risk? I never once got sick, I can still eat raw beef and I'm fine.
