I used to love the mint version of millionaires shortcake, jam pie, and those cornflake cakes with a biscuity base and a layer of jam! Oh and mint custard!

Rice pudding was fantastic too, we got a choice of raspberry or chocolate sauce to go in the middle but the dinnerlady always let me have both!!!

I loved cornflake tarts at school. That and the caramel shortcake with the thick slab of chocolate on top (Which they sell in asda and tesco's now thankfully!)

a massive piece of steamed sponge with a layer of strawberry jam on top, with custard. I know most people think its disgustin but i always used to ask for the skin off the custard too. The sponge would always stick to the roof of your mouth!!

and.....

The plain or chocolate shortbread if it had just been baked and was still warm and crumbly and moist!!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!x

School dinners sucked for me but I did find strawberry custard strangely appealing for some reason.

Hmm... I did enjoy their erm... strange pudding. It was some sort of white froth, with cooked apples and cornflakes for topping.

My taste buds have evolved since then and I loathe strawberry custard!! I ate some weird sh*t as a child like uncooked fake pizzas and peanuts (rather than peanut butter) in a sandwich. haha

Now I am eating healthier and like more healthier options like cooked food and vegetables!! haha

It has to be chocolate crunch with chocolate custard.

But I also remember something called Gypsy Tart, which was very sweet and sickly.
