I've never cooked a turkey but I am going to do it tomorrow. I know there are instuctions printed on it, but I'd rather learn from someone who has actually done it before! I need step by step, don't-skip-a-thing kind of instructions, or I'll find a way to foul it up - I'm blonde. :)

THANK YOU AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hi everyone!

I was reading this Sci-Fi book (DUNE, if you must know), and I came across these food names:

sauce cepeda, aplomage sirian, chukka under glass

I just want to know which of these are fiction and which are real. Has anyone heard of any of these in the real world?

Got the Nectacot from M&S, very strange it was, too. Anyway, what other odd hybrids are there where scientists have crossed fruit (isn't a loganberry a cross between something)?

Has anyone been known to suffer any adverse consequences (apart from allergic reactions) from eating too much chocolate? Does death by chocolate really exist?

I'm making cheese scones for chrismas this afternoon but what type do you like?

Cheese?

Fruit?

Plain, to go with jam & cream?

Or none at all?

And how do you pronounce it?!

I say scone like gone. Do you say it like own? If you get my meaning!

Most people I know take them out anyway. What a waste. Why not just have a gherkin burger that you can order. When I have actually asked to have a burger without one I have to wait five minutes and then the burger either comes with NO garnish at all (just meat and bread) or it still has the bloody thing in it!! Maybe gherkins have an addictive quality so you keep coming back for more?

P.S. Please don't take this too seriously!

I've just spoken to an old guy in Waitrose cafe. He looked no more than 75 but insisted that he was 92. His daughter came along and told me that he was in fact 92. He told me that he owned a fruit shop for 40 years and had always eaten bananas that he couldn't sell (too ripe) and snacked on grapes whenever he passed the grape stand. He had always done it. He was convinced that it was the secret to being so fit and active AND 92. I asked him if he had ever been ill and he said that he had had measles in 1916 when he was 2 and had had perfect health since! I'm going to try this - what do you think? Good idea or just coincidence?
