I'm making cheese scones for chrismas this afternoon but what type do you like?

Cheese?

Fruit?

Plain, to go with jam & cream?

Or none at all?

And how do you pronounce it?!

I say scone like gone. Do you say it like own? If you get my meaning!

Try different types of Scones (pronounced as scones as in gone) with different type of food. Ever tried cheese scones with ur wild mushroom soup instead of traditional herb garnish or chesse slapped on top (make very small scones using a cutterasa big as 20 penc coin). Try Mull Cheddar scone with Pertshire Lamb match made in Heaven. Never have fruit scone with jam conflicting tastes (my opinion), plain scones with jam and fruit scones with cream or try clotted cream for change. Make scone crumbs instead of bread crumbs for a different taste and much richer. Garnish bakes with scone crumbs...

My boss, who taught English, on hearing I was coming to the UK, told me to go forth and teach them to pronounce scone as in scon!
I make a wicked apricot scone, with whipped ginger cream. It's good.
