Does anyone know what in the heck a jigger is? I was looking at this recipe (I pasted it below) and it seems that it is a measurement of some sort. How much exactally IS a jigger? Like a shake of the bottle.. or more like 1/4 c. Please help =)

Joe's Crabshack Ya Ya Punch
1 C. Pineapple Juice
1 C. Cranberry Juice (This is also good with Cranapple Juice)
1 Jigger Vodka
1 Jigger Peach Schnapps
1 Jigger Coconut Rum
Splash of Grenadine

I work at a hotel, and we need to add food service for late-night arrivals. The problem is, we don't have true cooking facilities. We have a microwave, a panini grill, and could get something else if it made sense, as long as it didn't require actual pots, pans , etc. The front desk staff would be the ones responsible for preparing and plating the food, so it would have to be something "idiot " proof, since they are not food service people. We would be looking to provide about 4-5 items, some hot, some cold, and a vegetarian option. Does anyone have any good ideas? Also, it woudl be great if the food had a little shelf or freezer life, since we would not go through a huge amount of orders a night. Maybe 3-5 requests a night, sometimes more, sometimes less. I really need help with this one!

This is since the 1970s. Not just Cheddar, all the English cheeses, have an inferior taste.

Is it me being fussy, or is there a reason?

They may be as strong (usually not) but they seem to have lost texture, taste and may be more salty as well. This has not happened with Danish Blue (different qualities though, Mycella was to be preferred and this is only avaialble at a premium cost).

The fall may also have occurred with French cheeses especially Roquefort.

It is going to be simple; wine and cheese and so on. Or what do you recommend? And do you have any suggestions on how I should decorate? I don't mind making my own decorations.

My parents have always removed the bruised areas of bananas, apples, and other fruits that bruise. I am just curious why this is? Does it taste bad? Is it bad for you (it can't be this reason)?
