So my boyfriend and I live somewhat far apart. So normally we try to spend half of the week together, and half off. Anyways, I live alone in an apartment, and I need some good ideas for dinner when its just me at home! I don't want anything too extravagent, but some recipes that actually taste good and aren't just frozen food or take-out would be nice.
I've tried to look through search engines, but there aren't many sites out there with recipes for one....

Thanks

I need simple and inexpensive ways to throw my birthday party I am an adult and love outside parties but inside will be open to guests. I don't want a hawaii or beach theme. I want something everyone will enjoy. The search has not helped much so I got on here. Alcohol will be served and most of these people live close to me but some a little farther out. I want everyone to have a kick *** time at my party. We don't have a pool or a outdoor grill so that limits me any suggestions will help. THANK YOU ALL FOR READING THIS !

What should I make for my mom's 50th birthday dinner party? There will be about 8 people there. She loves fish, and tends towards the South Beach diet (although I'm sure she'll make exceptions for her birthday!)

I'm making Creme Brulee for dessert, and possibly Angel Food Cake...

Hi!
3 weeks ago we moved into our first home! We are so thrilled! In about 2 weeks we are having a " HOUSE WARMING PARTY". I told people in their invite that it is a "potluck dinner" I was just wondering if we need to provied anything? Sodas, wine, etc... Should we BBQ too or should we just depend on our guests to bring everything?

Thanks~
Jennifer

Does anyone have any ideas for a dinner party? I am planning on having lime sherbert punch, marinated, grilled, steak strips, iced w/ sprinkles brownies, 'white trash' (sort of like chex mix, only with no flavoring and 'glued' into clusters with white chocolate), sweet potato casserole, balloons, & some streamers, but I can't think of anything else and a there's going to be a lot of mouths to feed. i am 13 and this will be my first dinner party. thanks! btw, it is going to be very informal.

I'm looking for a party / wedding reception venue in Brighton that could hold 150 people standing (or less) and permits alcohol.

The shindig takes places on Friday July 6th 2007. I'm looking at sports clubs, pubs, small theaters, church halls, community centres - any suggestions?

My boyfriend said we should go on a picnic next day after he comes back from a trip. It's my first time packing on a picnic.

It's already very warm outside, and he wants to take a walk to that park, it's about 20 minutes away, maybe we'll take a walk first. So i need something that would be light and easy to carry, not perishable, and he deserves home made. However, i only will have time to prepare it the day before the picnic.

Also, should i get a basket (if yes, what should it look like?), or can i just throw everything in a backpack?

Please help!!!

My daughter was eating Cheez-its and found one with a hole in it, in the shape of a heart. It is perfect. We took several pictures. I was thinking about the cracker on ebay that had jesus's image on it. This is no Jesus... but the heart is perfect, looks too good to be true. We are wondering if we should try to auction it or sell it and where. Please let me know if you think it would be worth it or if there is some site for food oddities or something. Thanks ahead!
