Hey!

Two of my friends and I have our 18th birthday in Early September and we are starting to plan our joint party.

Because there are three of us, we will have quite a large budget if we pool our money together and hopefully will be able to afford food and alcohol for everyone, as well as possibly some live bands.

We have thought of hiring a nearby yacht club; there is an inside area, marquee and a small pier by the river.

We don't want to have a fancy dress theme, but we think it would be great to have a gorgeous theme for the decorations!

We will be inviting 200+ people to the event and want the decorations to look decadent and generally give an amazing first impression!

Please help me by suggesting some beautiful decoration ideas.. =)

Thankyou so much,

Peach x

I was told its very hard to make the chocolate for the fondue fountain because the chocolate needs to be very thin. Does anyone know where i can buy it (in Australia) or even how to make it? Remember, its not for a fondue pot, its for a fondue fountain.

I'm looking for an alcoholic mixed drink recipe that I can serve at a party. I need something that can either be made by the pitcher or put in a cooler (other than PJ's) for the guests to keep refilling. I don't want to spend the evening mixing the same drink over and over again. I'd like to be with my guests. Any recipe suggestions would be very much appreciated.

She graduates May 20 from highschool. I thought about doing a survivor theme party in our yard which is on 2 acres and sits my itself. I plan getting some of those bamboo torches to put around the yard. I also thought about getting her kindergarden picture and a recent picture and making them poster size to hang. What food and deserts would go good and what games or other things. There will be all ages there.

I am planning a dinner party for my mother who is turning 60. She was in high school and college in the 60's, so we are having a 1960's themed party. She hated all the hippy, psychadelic stuff, she was more of a 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' type of dresser, very classic. Any suggestions for flowers, decorations, etc? Thanks!

I am getting married in Jamaica and then the following week we are having a reception at home, but we want it very casual...more like a party. Most party themes suggest a luau...tiki masks and such. Is that strictly Hawaiian? Should I search harder for Caribbean-themed party items? Or throw caution to the wind and have a Jamaican wedding and then a Hawaiian party back home?
I want to focus on flowers, beach, sand, water....FUN!!! Please advise!

I am invited to a pot luck dinner party and the host is serving spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer and pork tenderloin for the main dish. Someone is bringing a salad, side dish and desert. I signed up to bring another appetizer but not sure what to bring. I don't want to have another dip. I thought about brushetta but my hubby doesn't like tomatoes and I want to bring something he will like. Any suggestions?

I am hosting an "after Confirmation" dinner/buffet for approx 15 family members. The ceremony will go from 6 - 8:30 on a Friday evening. I would like to serve a buffet after the ceremony, but due to how late we would start eating, I am uncertain as to what to serve. Any ideas?

My wedding reception will be a dinner and dance, but our budget is running out. I need to feed lots of people (like 250+) with something that we can make ourselves. I can probably get a lot of family members to help out. I just need to find something that will be filling and not too expensive that we can buy and make in bulk. Any ideas?

My birthday is in 13 days, however my parents want the party to be on the weekend before that, so thats either sat 28th or sun 29th.
I am going to be 15.
Ages ago my friends nd i came up with the idea of having a posh dress up party in my house.
Mum liked the idea and how im kinda stuck with it.
She also said i could invite as many people as i wanted!
Im not thinking of having like a massive house party, but i have like 20 people i want to invite.
Then I thought, maybe a BBQ outside would be better, and we wouldnt trash the house. But what if the weather sucks?!
I'd like some ideas of how to make my party more interesting please!
Also, ther is this guy, and we used to be very good friends... and i would like to invite him... Would this be a good idea?
were not so close now...
All ideas welcome!
help me!!!!! arghhh

I'm having a Beauty Control party and I have to serve the food. I have all of the additional things but I need a main dish. I don't want to do sandwich trays because they are expensive to make and I don't have the time to make them myself. What is something that is relatively cheap, easy to make, and good for this kind of thing? I'll only be feeding around 10 at the most.
