Hey!

Two of my friends and I have our 18th birthday in Early September and we are starting to plan our joint party.

Because there are three of us, we will have quite a large budget if we pool our money together and hopefully will be able to afford food and alcohol for everyone, as well as possibly some live bands.

We have thought of hiring a nearby yacht club; there is an inside area, marquee and a small pier by the river.

We don't want to have a fancy dress theme, but we think it would be great to have a gorgeous theme for the decorations!

We will be inviting 200+ people to the event and want the decorations to look decadent and generally give an amazing first impression!

Please help me by suggesting some beautiful decoration ideas.. =)

Thankyou so much,

Peach x

Art Deco is beautiful and classic - lots of black and silver - or try a classic yachting theme based on the decadent 50's - hot pinks, black and turquoise and touches of silver. Then the foods are easy - lobster petifores, caviar, an assortment of fine cheeses, roasted duck and prime rib, a choclate fountain and champagne tower are a must in either case! Chin-chin!

Gorgeous for Gorgeous!

Go with a "Sex and the City" theme. Hang up paper lanterns, use lots of soft lighting (candles). Whatever decorations you go with go big (over-sized) to capture the wow effect. Serve great drinks and have a great time!

Cosmopolitan
• 1 oz. vodka
• 1/2 oz. triple sec
• 1/2 oz. lime juice
Shake well and serve in chilled glass. Make a virgin Cosmo with cranberry, orange and lime juices, and garnish with a curl of orange peel.

The "Peach" Bellini is another great drink blending champagne with peach nectar or peach schnapps. Great for Birthday toasting.

You should think of some sort of theme for your party... and depending on that you should organize your plans for the party. It usually depends if your having a party at night or in the evening? Don't make it too dark inside but enough to make it fun. Give out real flowed necklaces to everyone! Blue is a great color to use... depending on things that your going to get. -hope that helped

First and foremost if you and your friends are turning 18 you shouldn't have liquor there
FYI you and the other host would be responsible if anything should happen to any of the guest since you are providing the liquor.

Have a good time without the liquor and this way you will also be able to remember the party!!
