She graduates May 20 from highschool. I thought about doing a survivor theme party in our yard which is on 2 acres and sits my itself. I plan getting some of those bamboo torches to put around the yard. I also thought about getting her kindergarden picture and a recent picture and making them poster size to hang. What food and deserts would go good and what games or other things. There will be all ages there.

This sounds like a lot of fun!! Anything you'd serve or eat at a backyard BBQ would be perfect...burgers, chicken, kabobs. I'd stick with mostly finger foods so that everyone can mingle and have fun...and you don't have to mess with anything other than paper plates and napkins!

Get a couple large silver horse traughs or 5 gallon metal buckets and fill with ice and put canned or bottled drinks in them!

The picture idea is great...here's another one:
get a large piece of plywood and cover with batting then cover with fabric....take ribbon and criss cross making a giant bulletin board and stick all kids of pictrues of her growing up and pass out scraps of paper for guests to write notes to her and place them in between the ribbons on the board. Then if it's not too big, she can put it in her room and continue to put her own pictures and memorabilia on it!

What you have so far sounds good...the picture idea is iffy. It depends on how long those you invite have known her, and whether or not she wants a picture from her early years displayed in from of her friends. :P (I don't know if I would...:P) If this is not a surprise party, I'd ask her about that. :) As for games, my friend had a party somewhat like this...there was limbo, as well as other games like that. I don't know, but maybe you could come up with some questions about your daughter and play a game related kinda to who knows her the most. (You don't count of course. ;P) For food and desserts, buffet style with lots of fruits and veggies. Barbecue is also good. Depends on what you're looking for. Desserts...mostly (tropical) fruit stuff, maybe have a smoothie maker, perhaps a graduation cake. And I really think your theme is good. haha She survived high school! :P I'm sure your daughter will be very pleased with this type of party. I know I would be! :) Hope this helps!

I wish I had a lot of ideas, but I suggest a campfire and smores. Here is a different way to do them. There are also a few other snack recipes if you need them.
