I love to make a Mexican layer dip for cook-outs. In bottom of casserole dish, spread 1 can re-fried beans. Mix 1 container sour cream w/ 1 pkg taco seasoning, then spread over beans, layer shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, diced onion, shredded cheese, black olives & salsa over top. Serve with tortilla chips.

I always keep a pkg of Lipton onion soup mix in the pantry & sour cream in the fridge for any last minute dip emergencies.......

1 can chili without beans
1 block (8 oz) cream cheese

Break or cut cream cheese into 6 or 8 squares, stir this into the chili. Microwave until hot. Mix thoroughly. Keep it hot in a mini Crock Pot.

Another favorite is "kitchen sink" dip. Take a container of sour cream. Add some garlic powder and onion powder, a little salt and pepper, dried veggie bits, grated cheese, and anything else you think would be good. My friends love it, even though it's different every time. (I get the dried veggie bits in a plastic jar that are supposed to be put into soups.)

Buy a thing of sour cream and a package of onion soup mix. Mix it together and voila, you got a chip dip. Or you can just buy it premade.
