We always play cards on Thursday night, well, It's a new tradition. We were wondering about some quick easy, yet tasty snacks to munch on.

Over three years ago, I went into Walmart and purchased a single 4-serving set of the Corningware French White pattern
DINNERWARE
set. Since then, Walmart has not carried it, and I can't find any sets over the internet or at other local stores.

What I am looking for is this:

DINNERWARE SETS

N O T >>>>> BAKEWARE <<<<< NOT NOT NOT

Please read my request carefully.
I'm NOT looking for baking ware.

I'm looking a place setting consisting of:
Plates
Dishes
Cups
Saucers

Ya know...the items you put the food on and eat with knife and fork...

This item is NO WHERE to be found - New or 2nd-hand.

Obviously discounted drinks right? Well my radio station saids " So-so club drink specials all night long" and another club saids drink specials before 11pm.. so what difference is there between a "special" and a "notspecial" price?. I go clubs often and i just pay whatever the bartender asks but never paid attention to exact cost cuz they never have a "Menu" lol. So should I pay attention to the "DRINK SPECIALs?" Is it THAT much of a difference. Maybe I should I should i watch mywallet more often,

I am new to my neighborhood and I have offered my house this year for a progressive type dinner party. It is not a fancy affair, so it will not be a sit down dinner. I was told finger foods and drinks. Since I am the first house of three, I thought it would be appropriate to have cold types of appetizers such as devilled eggs, crackers and cheese, cold cuts, etc. The person that is organizing the event called me and basically told me what I should be making, like hot foods and proceeded to list off things like chicken wings and meatballs. I did not tell her what I had planned on making and am now insulted that she is telling me what I should be making, especially since I am paying for the food and drinks I serve. Is she correct in suggesting that I serve hot foods? Shouldn't the main meat course be the second house? She told me the third house is having desserts and cheeses.

calm. We have them over often and in the past week, the youngest has scratched the edge of my dining table, broken my trash can by jumbing on the foot press, scratched my kitchen chair by digging on it with a fireplace shovel, climbed onto the bathroom sink for Q-tips that are kept in an ornate jar. I know some of you will say she should be watched closer, but trust me, this girl is fast! The mom has no training in child rearing and we don't want to sound like we're constantly saying "don't do this and don't do that", but I love my home and the things in it we've worked long and hard for. What do you do when unruly company comes calling????

I`m looking for a recipe that calls for strawberry jello, dream whip (or cool whip) crumbled angelfood cake, and fresh berries among other ingredients. This is my favorite recipe, and now I can`t seem to find it. Does anybody have one that sounds similar?

hey-
i'm having a small get together/party at my house in two weeks for some of my really good friends from band. i'm having such hard time deciding what to do. i'm thinking i should decorate with our school colors and get confetti & streamers, but then on the other hand, i could use the money for something else. Also, i don't know how much food is enough, or too little. I was thinking pizza, a bag or two of chips, we're getting a cake, and some candy. Also, two 2 liters of pop. My biggest problem though is what we could do. i need some really fun & not cheesy ideas. thanks so much for your help!

What would you do if you could have the best of both worlds?

2007-11-14 04:28:57 · 10 answers · asked by Ms.Q 1

I would appreciate some advice: I do a lot of cooking, but I rarely entertain. I've invited a friend & his new girlfriend over for dinner this weekend, and since this is the first time they've been to our place, I'd like it to be nice.

I have the whole menu planned out already; some of it I can make ahead of time, but the entree is a delicate fish dish. I'm afraid my tilapia will be ruined if I put it in the oven while I entertain.

Is it better to be cooking when my guests arrive, or to have a break after the first course while I whip up the main course? It just seems rude to me to leave my guests and make my boyfriend (who barely knows them) to do all the entertaining.

Any tips for juggling dinner and guests? How do you coordinate your dinner parties?

Thank you!

Hey,
I'm a teenager and I'm having a Christmas party, I was wondering what sort of food I should have, after all pizza isn't very Christmassy, but then again the whole roast is a bit too much, do you have any ideas (vegatarien recipes are welcome).
Should I have a themed party? Or is this too much to think about during the Christmas period?
Do you have any Christmassy games?

Thanks a lot xxx
